About Us

The Dartmouth Conference in 1956, conducted by Marvin Minsky and John McCarthy, among others, marked the official start of AI. McCarthy persuaded the audience to accept "Artificial Intelligence" as the field's name. The meeting was the first time AI had a name, objective, first success, and extensive characters.
